Madrid, February 4th 2015. Today, The Halal Institute together with Agropolis Foundation, the University of Cordoba and Paco Morales, the Michelin Star awarded chef, presented in Madrid: “Halal, a Global Concept” the 1st International Halal Congress to be held in Spain. Also, during the event, the cooperation agreement with Aresbank was signed. The agreement fundamental purpose is to promote the congress values.
Among the participants and attendees, The General Director of the Halal Institute and President of the Islamic Board, Isabel Romero; the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science of Cordoba, Salud Serrano – on behalf of Jose Carlos Gomez Villamandos, Chancellor of the University of Cordoba; as well as the General Director of Agropolis Foundation, Antonio Fernandez; and Paco Morales, chef of Noor Restaurant took part in the congress presentation.
The Congress will focus on topics dealing with certification, food, tourism, Islamic banking and finance, and distribution and logistics. The congress will count on the presence of lecturers of international stature: such as, Tun Musa, Chairman of the WIEF (World Islamic Economic Forum), Sultan Choudhury, CEO of Al Rayan Bank and Rusdhi Siddiqui, Co-founder and CEO of Zilzar.com (considered the Halal Industry “Amazon”), among others.
The Director of the Halal Institute emphasised, “the Halal concept is a contribution and a business opportunity for a wide range of Spanish companies and industries”.
“After a national and international culinary career experimenting with new technologies, I have looked back, searching for my roots and cultural traditions, focusing on the splendour of the X century and the Andalusian gastronomy” added chef Paco Morales.
In the context of this presentation, a cooperation agreement between the Halal Institute and the financial entity Aresbank was signed.
